Brian grew up with a camera in his hand, being the son of a professional wedding photographer. He started assisting his father at the age of 13, giving him a rare 25+ years in the photography industry at such a young age.
After spending years in the wedding industry, Brian got into shooting interiors by accident when a wedding studio he shot for asked him to photograph a home for an interior design client. That changed everything and within a year, Brian was no longer shooting weddings full time. (He shoots about 5 a year now). That led Brian into starting his real estate photography business, Twilight Artistry, with a focus on higher-end properties on Long Island and in New York City. Recently, Brian has started his second brand, Brian Berkowitz Photography, which focuses o higher-end shoots for architects, interior designers and corporate commercial clients.
In early 2018, Brian teamed up with Rich Baum to start the Shooting Spaces podcast. The podcast took off quickly, averaging 2000 listens/week within the first six months which led to Rich and Brian co-founding this site. Brian loves feedback so definitely let him know what you think of the podcast and website!!
