Thiago da Cunha provides imagery for the hotel industry. Born in Luanda, Angola, he has lived in Portugal, Peru and the Dominican Republic. He studied in American schools both in Peru (Franklin Delano Roosevelt) and in the Dominican Republic (Carol Morgan School). He received a bachelor’s degree in hotel management in 1992 from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra. In 1989, Thiago worked at Euro Hotel, Playa Dorada and later at the Sands Hotel & Casino in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In 1990, he started working as a beach photographer in the Dominicus Beach Hotel in Bayahibe, Dominican Republic. By 1991 he was a beach photographer at Club Fortuna in Freeport, The Bahamas. Some 28 years later, Thiago shoots 90% for hotels. Some of his clients are Sheraton, Hilton, Barceló, Meliá, Iberostar, Catalonia, AM Resorts, Marriott, Casa de Campo, Aman, Radisson, Crowne Plaza, etc. Thiago has photographed hotels in the The Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Mexico and Italy. He speaks English, Portuguese, Italian and Spanish.
